Mattei Adsorption Dryers


Our adsorption (desiccant) dryers feature a compact design that can be installed as needed at the most critical plant locations. These dryers are heatless but still produce superior pressure dew points at low purge rates by using desiccant material to attract and adsorb water molecules.

DD Series

Mattei's DD Series dryers are the optimal solution for thousands of compressed air applications across a number of different industries.

Adsorption is a process whereby specific molecules (the adsorbate) adhere to the surface of a highly porous solid (the adsorbent) by electrostatic and molecular forces. The adsorbent has a specific pore structure which will be a combination of larger or macro pores, slightly smaller or mesopores, or very small pores known as micro pores.

The use of Mattei’s dryers removes the condensate from the air, preventing any damage to the compressed air distribution system. Mattei DD dryers reliably give you:

Designed for use in the compressor room, at the point of application or integrated into your original equipment, DD dryers are an effective solution to the problems caused by contaminated compressed air.


DDH Series

A centrifugal blower and high efficiency heater eliminates the use of valuable compressed air to be used for desiccant regeneration.

The completely automatic drying system uses blower to pull ambient air and pass it through the heater. This hot air stream flows opposite to drying flow direction. Hot air above 200 °C regenerates the moisture inside desiccant bed and strips it completely of all moisture. The advanced control system monitors the dew point and adjusts the regeneration accordingly thereby providing valuable energy savings.

Mattei Absolute Zero (MAZ) Oil-Free Air System

We are proud to announce MATTEI's latest innovation, the Mattei Absolute Zero (MAZ) Oil-Free Air System. The MAZ System utilizes highly advanced filtration equipment, in conjunction with a Mattei oil-lubricated compressor, to generate oil-free air that meets ISO 8573-1:2010 Class 0 or ISO 8573-1:2010 Class 1 standards.
