Mattei's MD Series (direct expansion) refrigeration dryers are based on the principle of condensation by compressed air cooling, through a refrigeration circuit. The dryers are available in both the stand-alone version and integrated in the compressor.

MD Series

Mattei’s MD Series dryers use an aluminum ultra-compact drying module for compressed air treatment. Aluminum guarantees high resistance to corrosion, excellent thermal conductibility and mechanical resistance, together with a high level of recyclability.

• Limited pressure drop, even in case of extreme load.
• Extremely constant dew point, also under variable working conditions.
• Excellent performance, thanks to the counter-flows of air-refrigerant exchanger.
• Large exchange surface, favoring a correct and complete refrigerant evaporation (avoiding liquid backflow in the compressor).
• Low maintenance and excellent air drying.

MD Series refrigeration dryers have an air flow ranging from 0.6 to 147.2 m3/min and working pressure from a minimum of 7 bar to a maximum of 14 bar.

MD dryers are also available in high-pressure versions, through our MDH Series.
