Mattei Absolute Zero (MAZ) Oil-Free Air System
We are proud to announce MATTEI's latest innovation, the Mattei Absolute Zero (MAZ) Oil-Free Air System. The MAZ System utilizes highly advanced filtration equipment, in conjunction with a Mattei oil-lubricated compressor, to generate oil-free air that meets ISO 8573-1:2010 Class 0 or ISO 8573-1:2010 Class 1 standards.
With the Mattei Absolute Zero (MAZ) System, companies can achieve oil-free air, without the capital expense and high maintenance costs of oil-free compressors. An effective oil vapor removal filter works in tandem with a top-quality Mattei rotary vane air compressor to generate essentially oil-free air. This makes it an ideal, cost-effective and energy-efficient oil-free air solution for the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and other industries, which require oil-free air.
What is Absolute Zero System?
The MAZ System packages a Mattei oil-lubricated compressor with high-efficiency coalescing filters and an advanced adsorption filter. The coalescing filters reduce oil aerosols while the adsorption filter decreases oil vapors, thereby allowing the MAZ System to provide oil-free air that meets ISO 8573-1:2010 Class 0 or ISO 8573-1:2010 Class 1 standards.
What are the benefits?
The release of the MAZ system means consumers can now achieve the highest quality of compressed air through the use of oil-lubricated compressors, which offer a number of significant advantages over traditional oil-free systems. Lubricated, rotary vane compressors, for which Mattei is renowned, are exceptionally durable, as much as 15 percent more energy efficient, and up to 50 percent less expensive than traditional oil-free compressors.

This innovative new technology will allow companies in industries that require oil-free systems—like food and beverage, pharmaceutical and semiconductor—to save costs, energy and other resources by employing oil-lubricated systems that are now authoritatively oil-free.

The BEKOMAT range provides the 12, 13, 14 and 16 standard drains for virtually every application, which are not just the correct solution, rather more also the most suitable low-energy solution. The integrated capacitive sensor for level-controlled condensate discharge helps save energy and enhances efficiency – which is what you would expect from a BEKOMAT.
The regular maintenance was carried out in 2 consecutive years by the team of TUNGS-STAR on an ABC Horizon 1400 compressor at Plastipak Romania SRL in Urlati. The 40 bar PET compressor is powered by a 280 kW motor equipped with VSD. It has 3 stages with 4 horizontally opposed cylinders.
New 15 kW MATTEI compressor was installed next to an old 7.5 kW Mattei compressor to assure the increased production of a local company.
